Rachel Speas was born and raised in Southwest Florida where she currently resides with her husband, Todd, and their three children.

Rachel earned a degree in Early Childhood Education from Milligan University. There she discovered her love and appreciation for children’s literature which led her to begin building a collection of children’s books that she would include in her classroom library year after year.  She enjoys working with children and watching them grow academically, socially, as well as spiritually. During the school day, one of her favorite things is to do is read to her students.  She believes that books spark imagination and can take you places you may have never dreamed of visiting.

Rachel taught in lower elementary for nine years and is currently working as a preschool teacher. She is also leading a discipleship program for middle school girls at her church.  In addition to her love for teaching, Rachel likes traveling and making memories with family and friends!
